As a new construction project, there was no existing kitchen to renovate. The site itself was the starting point — a hillside lot with sweeping, unobstructed bay views that shaped every design decision, from cabinetry placement to the scale and positioning of the glass walls meant to frame the scenery. The completed kitchen centers on full-height rift-cut white oak cabinetry, warmed by integrated LED toe-kick lighting and paired with a crisp white waterfall quartz island. A slim stainless hood vent floats above the cooktop, while a backlit tile niche adds texture against the wood grain. Paneled-front refrigeration keeps the wall of storage seamless, and open shelving built into the island introduces a curated, lived-in warmth. Full-height sliding glass walls open the kitchen directly onto the hillside, connecting the space to the bay views beyond in both daylight and dusk. The scope extended to a custom mudroom finished in soft powder-blue lacquer, with a built-in bench, woven storage baskets, and open hanging space for everyday function.
